B.A. mathematics, University of Chicago Ph.D mathematics, Northwestern University MBA (finance), NYU Stern School of Business
Experience
I've tutored extensively and taught math at the college and graduate school level (Norhwestern, University of Alabama and Oakton Communty College) and tutored math at a community college and for a local tutoring firm. I also worked for 30 years at MetLife insurance company (I'm now retired) My math scores were in the 99th percentile for the SAT, ACT and GMAT exams. I love math and love teaching it. I'm very patient and good at explaining difficult concepts. Math is nowhere near as hard as it might sometims seem. You just need to learn some concepts and techniques, preferably by thinking things through on your own, as much as possible (which is how I like to tutor).
